Pod artikulacijom, odnosno izgovorom glasova, podrazumevamo određene pokrete govornih organa, kao i usmeren tok vazdušne struje koji su specifični za svaki glas. Sama reč artikulacija potiče od latinske reči articulatio-articulus i znači izgovor, odnosno obrazovanje i izgovaranje glasova određenog jezika, gde najvažniju ulogu imaju govorni organi.
